Abstract

Development of Beyond 3G (B3G) mobile telecommunications will integrate various wireless access networks through an all-IP core network using the Internet, UMTS, and GPRS as the backbone. Based on all-IP technologies, we consider three types of wireless access networks: infrastructure cellular networks, wireless LAN networks, and mobile ad hoc and sensor networks. Sub-projects III and IV will together investigate research issues in B3G under such a structure by a joint NCTU and NTHU team.
